<itunes:summary>Artworkers exists to support the people working in the visual arts, craft and design industries in Queensland. We believe that creative talent deserves to be nurtured and supported. So we have created a network of people, programs and resources to achieve this, and to promote the value of the arts in the broader community. A not-for-profit membership-based organisation established in 1986, we are an incorporated association with a team of professional staff supported by a Management Committee. Artworkers provides advice and information on all areas of professional practice and we connect our members with jobs and opportunities. We run an annual program of seminars, workshops and events to assist with the professional development of artists and arts workers. We also advocate on behalf of the visual arts sector at state and national levels.</itunes:summary>
