Jenni Baxter

Jenni Baxter's design philosophy focuses on breaching norms and challenging perceptions, and her work operates not only as a unique exploration of form, but also as innovative reinterpretation of the everyday.

Baxter's approach to design employs the notion of disturbance... "A disengagement from tradition, inviting progression and engagement not only with the modus of contemporary society, but also with an alternate tomorrow."

Baxter's work offers a new engagement with the design process that is non-doctrinaire in both approach and application.  Her disruptive reinterpretation of the everyday opens a new dimension to explore the experiential outcomes resultant of this unique approach.

Jenni's multidisciplinary design practice encompasses all forms including three dimensional, interior, graphic, product, set, lighting, furniture and installation, and her work has been included in exhibitions such as 'Design Excellence in Queensland' at the Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane (2006).
